While I was trying to give a cork to a friend because she couldn't find any, I couldn't give her the junk item because it was found in Kelp Key, a Members-Only place and she wasn't a member. Take a look:

It won't encourage them to be a member, because they can't see it. Your a member, trying to give them member items, so that screen pops up for you(a member). :P
